Matthew & Kirsten | Engaged | Virginia Tech Blacksburg Wedding Photographer

Matthew planned the sweetest surprise proposal for his high school sweetheart Kirsten! He collaborated with their parents and brothers to have them surprise Kirsten by being at their proposal, hidden, but even before that he took both their Moms with him ring shopping after asking Kirsten’s Dad for her hand!! How stinking sweet is that?! Matt picked out the Hahn Horticulture Gardens at Virginia Tech where he and his fiancé are seniors to propose at. As a Hokie myself I was beyond excited to be documenting this beautiful event! What made me even more excited though was showing up for our “senior photoshoot” to meet two of the sweetest, most genuine people ever. Matt and Kirsten are just salt of the earth people who are so easy to get to know, incredibly kind, and devoted to one another. It was an honor to document their love in an engagement session Matt surprised Kirsten with.

Parks Wedding | William & Emily | Harrisonburg VA Wedding Photographer

Friends, meet Will and Emily. These two have known each other since high school, but it took a twist of fate to bring these soul mates together. Emily is a nurse and one night happened upon a truly horrible car crash—the victim was Will. Emily stayed with him for 36 straight hours. That scary time showed them both that together is better; they’ve been living life hand-in-hand since. Their strong foundation of friendship and love has given them strength to support each other through school, job changes, house hunting, pets—everything. These two have sweet, giving souls and they always go above and beyond for their family and friends. On this happy day in October, their family and friends went above and beyond for them—especially on the dance floor! I’m so happy for these two and wish them many years of happiness. Congratulations Will and Emily!

McGlynn Wedding | Harrisonburg Virginia Wedding Photographer

Y’all. This couple. Laura and Steve are bound by the ties of love, military service, and family in the most beautiful way. Steve is a Navy Seal– a frogman with a strong family tradition of military service on both he and his new wife’s side of the family and Laura is the sweetest, most adventurous lady with a heart of gold. These two incredible people moved up their planned Leap Year wedding to Laura’s grandparents’ anniversary to celebrate with only their closest family and make it the most intimate of affairs. Their wedding was on a family member’s gorgeous farm and filled with sentimental details. Laura and Steve chose to keep their wedding intimate and it made for some of the most touching moments– but they also had their two pups who always managed to keep it fun. I hope you’ll enjoy these images as much as I enjoyed being there! Send well wishes to the newlyweds to the comments!

David & Amanda | Engaged | Northern Virginia Wedding Photography

David and Amanda initially met in Oxford, and with a little patience and a nudge of fate these two are getting married this November!! These two have a heart for the Lord and eyes for each other– check out Amanda’s light shining through in these photos! We met up at Big Meadow along the Skyline drive for photos and the views were amazing. With these two cuties, the views only got better 😉 Enjoy my favorites from their engagement session.

Nathaniel & Victoria | Riddle Wedding | McGaheysville Virginia Wedding Photography

They say when you know, you know. Nate and Victoria met, dated, and tied the knot all within a year! They knew forever when they saw it, and knew they wanted forever to start as soon as possible. If that isn’t romance, I don’t know what is.

Their wedding date was intimate, heartfelt, and filled to the brim with an outpouring of love. Victoria wore her mother’s gown; a family friend hosted the ceremony on their beautiful farm; Nate’s hometown pastor presided; and his sweet grandmother, Linda, along with church family, worked hard to make the reception a delicious and beautiful event.

Enjoy living Nate and Victoria’s day through these photos and leave some love for the newlyweds in the comments!
